Got started with breaking? This is the next step. PRO-MINI Intermediate – Combinations teaches you to link the moves you know into rounds that flow – from steps to tricks, in time with the music. And it shows you where you can make up your own.

Suitable for: children, teens and adults at an intermediate level who know the basic steps – including you if you learned breaking somewhere else. From about age 7 with an adult. You don’t need to be a pro. All the moves come from “Breaking Step by Step” and PRO-MINI, so you can look up any move you don’t know yet.

How you learn: The number track 1 → 2 → 3 → FREEZE runs through the whole booklet and shows where you are in the round. Each part starts with “After this part you can …” and is practised from known to new in four steps: part by part, link two at a time, the whole combo, and to music. The rule is simple: each move must work on its own, in time, three times in a row before you link it. Each part ends with “Check yourself” – common mistakes and how to fix them – and “Ready for the next step?” with checkboxes. B-boy dad pops up with tips along the way.

For teachers and adults: Each part has its own box on how to teach it, spotting and safety, and how to adapt it for the person practising.

Safety first: The big tricks are never used in the combos. They come at the end as long-term goals, practised one at a time over time – with an instructor, a spotter and a mat.
