In hip hop we stand in a circle – a cypher. One at a time, someone steps in and shows who they are. The others make room, cheer and lift them up. Cypher Cards from Kulturspiren are 36 playful cards that let kids find their own style through rhythm, creativity and movement – alone, with the family or in class.
Learning goals: Your child explores rhythm and movement, creates their own signature move and practices showing respect, making room and lifting others up.

Sample – card no. 19 “Make a cypher”: Stand in a circle. One at a time, step in and dance 8 counts. Everyone else cheers and makes room.
Suitable for: kids ages 6–12 (the youngest together with an adult). No experience needed – not for the adult either. Great at home, in after-school programs, at birthday parties, in classrooms and dance groups. Several cards can be done sitting down, so everyone can join in.
